The path towards a seamless omnichannel experience

Eurosko’s 430 physical stores in Sweden, Norway and Denmark are the most important part of the company’s business. Since the stores double as fulfillment hubs, Eurosko are dependent on smooth omnichannel processes and data flows.  

It was therefore crucial for the company to have well-functioning systems in place to allocate web orders to the nearest store. However, the aim was to identify the best way to use digital channels to support the overall customer experience. Eurosko wanted to drive a holistic customer experience through every touchpoint: a customer club, staff interactions, in-store materials and screens, website, campaigns, advertisements, newsletters, search functions, and social media. In other words, they wanted to ensure a connected customer journey from start to finish.

The challenge

Creating a Competitive and Scalable Digital Solution

Eurosko operated with several legacy solutions and had no centralized data platform to integrate its various systems. For example, the self-developed point of sale (POS) system had been in use for over 25 years.

While they had made incremental updates, they soon realized these improvements weren’t enough. Consumer expectations were rising, digital competition was intensifying, and their existing web solution was plagued with recurring issues, making it unsustainable for long-term success. Faced with the decision to upgrade their existing setup or invest in a completely new solution, Eurosko chose to future-proof their business with the help of Avensia.

A Brand-New Composable E-Commerce Platform

To meet Eurosko’s needs, Avensia delivered a composable commerce solution built on a modular architecture, enabling centralized marketing, local store fulfillment, and adaptability to evolving trends and technologies. By using Avensia Excite, a pre-packaged platform with built-in integrations,  Eurosko didn’t need to find in-house expertise. They also benefitted from the flexibility and scalability of a composable platform that Avensia could offer.
