Avensia Grows Customer Base and Presence in a Time of Market Slowdown

Modern commerce expert Avensia announces it has signed several new customer contracts as well as extended the partnership with a number of existing customers over the past few months. As such Avensia’s customer base shows confidence in the future of modern commerce despite the current market situation.

Avensia’s customer community is constantly growing, new customers from the past months include Airport Retail Group, Medea Medical, ArmaturJonsson, and Svenssons i Lammhult.

In addition, a great number of existing customers have chosen to extend their partnership with Avensia to include additional services and solutions within areas such as e-commerce strategy, information management, and customer loyalty. The value of these new and extended customer agreements is in line with Avensia’s projected sales results.

These customer wins are proof that commerce businesses are willing to invest in business development, technology, and infrastructure, even when the market situation is uncertain. Statista reports that the total digital commerce revenue in the Nordic countries decreased by nearly 20% in Q2 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

“Despite the slowdown in e-commerce growth, and the challenging economic situation we are experiencing right now, our customers choose to invest in the future”, says Robin Gustafsson, CEO at Avensia.

“These investments are not only brave and ambitious, but I believe critical to winning the battle of the customers moving forward. With inflation hitting economies globally consumers and corporations are more careful with their spending. Commerce businesses need to invest in the best buying experiences and the most efficient processes to build customer trust and loyalty in the future”, Gustafsson continues.

Johan Sommar, Chief Strategist at Avensia, see a changing trend in how enterprises manage their e-commerce investments in these uncertain times.

“In the past years we’ve heard a lot of commerce businesses talk about large internal development teams as a way of staying agile, but now they’re instead turning to trusted partners for support and expertise”, says Johan Sommar. “In these uncertain times Avensia helps customers to be more flexible so that they can balance long-term and short-term goals and quickly scale up or down initiatives to follow market developments”, Sommar concludes.

The new customer agreements strengthen Avensia’s position as the expert in modern commerce, supporting winning businesses with the right strategies and solutions to face the ever-changing landscape of digital commerce.
