Order is one of Sweden’s leading distributors of consumer electronics, children’s and leisure products, with customers such as CDON, Stor & Liten, Ellos and Haléns. They engage in B2B commerce with over 8000 products within computers & accessories, audio & visual, home & household, tools, personal care, sports & leisure, kids & baby, toys, and various accessories. The company, which was founded in 1977, is located in Helsingborg and today has over 30 employees.


Order Nordic has long been at the forefront of e-commerce, with a previous solution built on the Incordia Smart Site platform. However, there was no further development on the platform, and to be able to continue their e-commerce success there arose a need to change. The main criterion was that the new solution would include: standardized technology that was easy to update, enhanced functionality, and an attractive design.

Order saw the potential of the new Episerver Commerce platform. This platform offered a built-in PIM system, which made things easier because it allowed them to write the product specifications on the web, instead of in the business information system. At that point, Episerver Commerce was new to the market and Order was one of the very first B2B companies to invest in the platform.

The project

Avensia took over the project after an unsuccessful attempt from another supplier. A new feasibility study was done, which led to the decision about the new platform. It was a quick and effective project which received very positive feedback from the firm’s customers. The site received improved functionality in the form of a search function, filtering and a more user-friendly design. Even the internal processes were improved with the inbuilt PIM system, as well as the fact that operations now took place within Order, instead of externally.

"We have recently changed ownership and have therefore chosen to invest in home, household and children’s products. The new range sets high demands on our e-commerce system. Order was Avensia’s first solution built on the Episerver Commerce platform, which would result in a long line of successful implementations for companies in both the B2B and B2C sectors. Avensia is now the first company to become a Premium Solution Partner for EpiServer, simply by creating e-commerce solutions.
